About

Nooré Atelier is the artistic practice of Catherine K, a fine art photographer whose work explores the space between memory and place.

Her images are created through a layered photographic process that dissolves literal representation and reconstructs the city as experience—softened by time, light, and emotion. Architecture becomes atmosphere; streets become impressions. Each work exists less as a document of location and more as a visual memory shaped by perception rather than precision.

Rooted in urban environments yet guided by an impressionistic sensibility, Catherine’s work bridges photography and painting. Color, movement, and repetition are used not to describe the city, but to evoke how it feels to inhabit it—to pass through it, remember it, and carry it forward.

The name Nooré, derived from the concept of light, reflects the quiet luminosity at the heart of the practice. Light is not merely a technical element, but a narrative one—revealing, obscuring, and transforming familiar scenes into dreamlike impressions.

Each work is produced as a limited-edition fine art print, emphasizing intentionality, material quality, and permanence. The work invites the viewer to slow down, to look beyond the recognizable, and to find resonance in the spaces between clarity and abstraction.

Catherine K lives and works in New York.
